KU Kits for Kids School Supply Drive Starts Strong at Port St. Lucie Campus
The first week of the Keiser University Port St. Lucie campus’ Kits for Kids School Supply Drive was a success with more than $800 worth of donations and school supplies designated to support the St. Lucie Public School District’s homeless services effort.
In addition to monetary contributions, key donations included back-packs courtesy of students, staff, and faculty. Nick Evangelista, Kennan Group’s Building Manager of the Port St. Lucie Campus, was the first donor and cheerfully joined by his wife Kris Evangelista of St. Lucie Beauty Academy who donated free-haircuts for all clients referred by the St. Lucie Public School District.
With more than 1800 homeless students enrolled in the St. Lucie Public School District, Keiser University Port St. Lucie Campus leaders are holding donor raffles as they look forward to additional donations.
