Melbourne Campus Advisory Board Members Enjoy Opportunities for Further Collaboration

Keiser University’s Melbourne campus recently welcomed a variety of partners as leaders met with employers, alumni, and community advisers for the campus’ semiannual Advisory Board Meeting.

Designed to produce vital feedback regarding the university’s programs, academic curriculum, and employment resources, the session provided advisory board members the opportunity to engage in cross-industry discussions. For example Dr. Rudy Cardona, the campus’ Business Administration Program Director was able to spend some time with Gary Sulski, CareerSource Brevard County’s Information Technology Sector Strategy Program Manager to discuss the growing Master in Business Administration program and how it can benefit those in the field. Dr. Bobbi Kolehmainen, Keiser University’s Melbourne Campus Nursing Program Director then awarded Nikki Andersen, Vice President of Nursing at Cape Canaveral Hospital with the Employers Choice Award on behalf of the Health First organization. The honor recognized the organization’s commitment and support of students and graduates.

The group was thankful to enjoy a delicious dinner prepared and served by the students from the Keiser University Culinary Arts program.

Founded in 1995, Health First is Central Florida’s only fully integrated delivery network (IDN) and employs over 9,000 associates. The integrator of its IDN is Health First Health Plans, offering a wide variety of health insurance options across Central Florida.
