Jacksonville Campus Hosts Mock ‘CSI Day’ for Area High School Students
Keiser University’s Jacksonville campus recently hosted students from Atlantic Coast High School as part of its Forensics Investigation and Crime Scene Technology program’s “CSI Day.”
Led by instructors Tom Brady and Lisa Santore, the visit included a tour of a complex mock crime scene which involved numerous pieces of evidence and scene indicators to observe and analyze. Guests enjoyed studying various crime scene stations as Keiser University Forensics Investigation and Crime Scene Technology students provided an overview relating to the practical side of processing evidence which included the investigation of fingerprints, footwear, biological matter, blood spatter, firearm usage, tool mark casting, forensic anthropology, and more.
Members of the high school’s STEM program which incorporates a year of forensic classes for juniors and seniors, the group was thankful to be provided certificates of completion by Brady and Santore, who’d also shared their professional experiences.
