Arthur Keiser Named Among South Florida Business Journal’s Power Leaders in Education

Keiser University Chancellor and CEO Arthur Keiser, Ph.D., has been named one of the South Florida Business Journal’s (SFBJ) 2021 Power Leader in Education, a list of South Florida’s most influential educational leaders. Those highlighted in this year’s annual list were noted not only for their leadership and service within their own institutions, but also for their exceptional efforts displayed during a tumultuous year marked by COVID-19.

Under Keiser’s leadership, Keiser University was credited for maintaining its academic excellence when the university shifted to virtual learning during the pandemic. Keiser University was a trendsetter in virtual learning, offering online courses in 1998. Since 2013, every registered course at Keiser University has included an online learning shell that provides users with a platform for communication and content sharing. The use of this innovation allowed Keiser faculty to quickly transition courses to virtual learning in March 2020.

Keiser was also credited for improving student satisfaction during 2020-21. Results from Keiser University’s annual student satisfaction survey improved during the most recent academic school year as students reported positive learning outcomes and experiences during the pandemic.

This is the third consecutive year Keiser has been named to the SFBJ’s Power Leaders in Education. He has previously been recognized by the SFBJ as an Ultimate CEO, a 2019 Power 250 Leader, and by Florida Trend Magazine as a Florida 500 Living Legend.
