Cinematic Art Students Gain Insights from Industry Professionals

Keiser University Cinematic Arts Students recently gained insights thanks to a presentation from Afflux Studio founders Bobby Keegan, a G-Star alumnus, and Joey Ambrose. As part of the program partnership, the group was thankful to visit the G-Star Sound Stage to learn more about successful processes, systems, and techniques followed by a live demonstration and hands-on workshop relating to the operation of a professional-grade camera.

“What’s really cool is the fact that working on more advanced productions means working with more accessories like plates and neutral density filters. It’s something that feels achievable now,” said Audrey Chouraqui, a Keiser University Interdisciplinary Studies student of the event which was led by College of Cinematic Arts Program Director Samantha Kountz who is also a G-Star alumna.

The partnership between Keiser and G-Star School of the Arts and Motion Picture Studios provides students with valuable opportunities for hands-on experience and training in feature film production, commercials, music videos, and documentaries.

Afflux Studios is a fully integrated multimedia company specializing in motion picture and television production, creative development, photography, and more. Keiser University’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinematic Arts provides students with a solid foundation in cinematography, storytelling, and film production while incorporating business principles, as well as more advanced coursework and a strong general education program. An interdisciplinary approach enables students to demonstrate their artistic expertise and application of business knowledge to enhance their career opportunities.
