College of Chiropractic Medicine Graduate Enjoys Shining a Light on Industry Success Stories
As a ballet dancer in middle and high school, Elle Biegel had originally planned to pursue a profession in performing arts, but the vision was derailed due to a 2010 motor vehicle accident that caused multiple-level disc herniations in her neck and back.
The restorative journey that followed further encouraged Biegel’s lifelong interest in holistic healing.
“Post-accident, I began treatment at a local chiropractic and physical therapy office. This not only enticed my interest in the chiropractic profession but also ensured me a more functional life without invasive interventions,” she said while adding that her prior study of biomedical sciences and law were helpful with the restorative process and the inspiring insights she gained from her husband Kris, a 2022 Keiser University College of Chiropractic Medicine (KUCCM) alumnus helped fuel her interest.
After enrolling in KUCCM in 2020, and gaining clinical service in a variety of settings, Biegel graduated in 2023 intending to shine a light on the profession’s success stories and its legitimacy while encouraging collaboration among providers. “I believe that if a heavier emphasis on holistic trials of care were employed there would be an increase in inter-professional collaboration,” she said.
Now employed as an Associate Chiropractic Physician at Miss Chiropractic Wellness and Spa located in North Palm Beach, Florida, Biegel is thankful to play a role in the spotlight toward that goal. While working alongside the firm’s CEO and TLC’s Crack Addicts star Dr. Alessandra Colon, she and team members treat those with traumatic brain injuries, neuropathies, and post-operative hardware from severe injuries as well as those suffering from dystonia, Raynaud’s Syndrome, Marfan Syndrome, hemiplegia, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Morton’s Neuromas, and several variations of arthritis. “At our practice, both Dr. Colon and I co-manage every single patient, meaning as a first-year associate I am treating patients with complex disorders,” she said.
Biegel encourages others to visualize and acknowledge their big and scary dreams while identifying a saying or mantra to remind them that they can be realized. “One quote that I continue to live by is ‘If your dreams don’t scare you, then they’re just not big enough,’” she smiled.
