College of Chiropractic Medicine Students Gain Hands-On Experience Using the Cox8 Table

Under the leadership of Dr. Bret White and Dr. Ralph Kruse, students at the Keiser University College of Chiropractic Medicine were recently trained on the application of chiropractic manipulative procedures using the Cox8 table.

The group learned more about forces applied during the application of manipulative procedures to various patient populations. The training will translate into better clinical outcomes when they become interns and field doctors and will allow their inclusion in research studies.

The combination of the proven Cox® Technic flexion distraction protocols as developed by Dr. James Cox along with the innovative Cox8 table create an unmatched chiropractic clinical experience. Flexion Distraction is a commonly used chiropractic manipulative procedure for the lumbar spine. Few chiropractic physicians have the capability of treating the cervical spine as can be performed with the specialized Cox8 table. Use of the table makes it possible to treat the most difficult patients including lumbar and cervical disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and radiculopathy.
