Flagship Campus Sports & Exercise Science Department welcomes DEXAfit
Heather Allsup, owner and operator of DEXAfit, visited the Sports & Exercise Science students on the Flagship Campus. DEXAfit is an exercise and body composition testing laboratory, with locations in Boca Raton and Tampa. Not only is Ms. Allsup an industry leader, a clinical instructor and mentor for our externship program, but she is also a Keiser alumnus, having graduated from KU West Palm in 2012 in the Radiology Technology program.
She spoke to the students on the topic of ‘Cultivating a successful professional network in the health and fitness industry’. She also touched on some of the testing that is done at DEXAfit. More than 60 students in the program attended her presentation. They had lots of questions and comments, and seemed to enjoy hearing from someone in their field who is educated, successful, and passionate about what we do.
