Holiday Food Drive Benefits KU New Port Richey Campus Friends, Neighbors

Keiser University New Port Richey campus students, faculty, and staff recently collected 440 pounds of food to support area friends and neighbors.

Led by Gina Betz, Director of Student Services, the Student Government Association event benefited Metropolitan Ministries. “We were thrilled and overwhelmed with the generosity of all involved, as we believe in being a pillar of strength and a beacon of hope in our community, and the donations went directly into the hands of those in need. In a year that has been filled with difficulty for so many, we are abundantly grateful for the impact made,” smiled Betz.

Designed to help homeless and at-risk children and families, the services of the Metropolitan Ministries organization benefit approximately 32,000 men, women, and children. Within the past year, the organization has served 1,912,418 meals and provided 138,886 nights of safe shelter.
