Jacksonville Campus’ ‘Major Day’ Offers Opportunities for Hands-On Learning

Each semester at Keiser University’s Jacksonville campus program and community leaders gather with upper and lower classmen to discuss industry-specific topics and to network as part of the university’s “Major Day.”

Most recently, Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology instructors Dr. Ryan Fairall and Matthew Graifer turned over the reigns to two students in order to demonstrate how to incorporate non-traditional training modalities into a routine. Seniors Chase Caldwell and Tatyana Heck directed the group to use kettle bells, medicine balls, and sleds in an effort to add more tools to their own professional arsenals. Learners from the Legal Studies and Forensic programs also enjoyed a visit from representatives of the Saint Johns Sherriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit who’d shared details of their daily investigative and evidence processing activities.
