Jacksonville Physical Therapy Assistant Program Students Support Autism Awareness

Keiser University Jacksonville campus Physical Therapist Assistant program students and instructors recently gathered at sunrise to support Autism awareness.

The group, led by Instructor Dr. Natalya Lezhak, volunteered at the Friends with Autism 5K and Walk held at the Riverside Arts Market in downtown Jacksonville. Members of the program cheerfully set-up and broke down tents, handed out water, supervised a sensory tent designed to serve as a respite area for participants with special needs, and congratulated participants at the Finish Line with medals.

Friends with Autism 5K and Walk proceeds provide direct services in the forms of family grant support, community accessibility, and advocacy for Jacksonville families and people with autism.
