Keiser University Chancellor, Dr. Arthur Keiser, Announces Appointment of Dr. Amy Teprovich as Fort Myers Campus President
Fort Myers, Florida – August 2020 Keiser University is pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Amy Teprovich as the Fort Myers campus president upon the retirement of esteemed leader, Dr. Nancy Tedros.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Teprovich as president and thank Dr. Tedros for her years of dedication and outstanding service,” said Dr. Arthur Keiser, Keiser University Chancellor. “Under President Tedros’ leadership, our students and faculty enjoyed a seamless transition as the campus originally opened on Colonial Drive, relocated to Forum Parkway, has grown to nearly 700 students with continued expansion, and most recently, a successful, temporary shift to online education due to the pandemic. I’m confident that Dr. Teprovich’s collaborative, team-oriented approach will continue to benefit our students, faculty professionals, and proactively serve Lee County and the surrounding communities.”
Dr. Teprovich has spent over 20 years in higher education leadership roles. She began her career in residential life and student activities positions before she relocated to Fort Myers in 2004 to serve as the Director of Campus Involvement at Florida Gulf Coast University. She then joined Edison State College as the Dean of Students prior to becoming Academic Dean at a local private college.
In April 2017, Dr. Teprovich joined Keiser University as the Dean of Academics at the Fort Myers campus. She successfully launched several allied health academic programs including an Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy bridge program. She also led the implementation of a new advising model to further improve KU’s high retention rates and innovative focus on student success.
In addition to her administrative roles, Dr. Teprovich has taught many courses and has served on dissertation committees. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Mathematics and Economics, as well as a Master of Science in College Student Personnel Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, and a Doctor of Education with concentrations in Organizational Leadership and Conflict Resolution from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
