Keiser University Equestrian Students Enjoy Safari Adventure

Keiser University Equestrian team students recently enjoyed a unique animal adventure as they were treated to a “behind the scenes” educational tour of Lion Country Safari in Loxahatchee, Florida.

Led by animal behavior trainers and managers, students were able to enjoy time with many exotic animals including giraffes, zebras, lions, chimpanzees, gopher tortoise, hippopotamus, flamingo’s, and more.  The staff educated the students on the various instincts, habitats, and behaviors of the different breeds and allowed them to interact with some of them as well.  After the tour was completed, the Keiser University Seahawk team agreed that riding horses was likely a better option than some of the animals on the tour.
