Keiser University Tampa Faculty Member Earns NANT Award for Excellence

Jodie Hanrahan, OTD, OTRL, Occupational Therapy Program Director at Keiser University Tampa has been honored as a recipient of the National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT) 2019 Excellence in Clinical Practice award. Hanrahan will become only the third recipient to receive the honor which was first awarded in 2017.

The NANT Excellence in Clinical Practice Award is one of two peer-nominated awards given annually at the NANT Conference. The award is given to those with a collaborative spirit who excel in the areas of neonatal clinical practice and research while inspiring future generations of neonatal therapists.

Her research includes her doctoral dissertation titled, “Effect of Education on Healthcare Practitioners’ Assessment and Management of Neonatal Pain.” Her work has been presented at several conferences and published in Quality & Performance Improvement eJournal.

Hanrahan has been with Keiser University Tampa since September 2018. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Rowan University, a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Temple, and a Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Chatham University. She has served on the advisory panel of the Mease Countryside Hospital NICU Advisory Board, the NICU Developmental Collaborative, and St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Task Force.
