KU’s Clearwater Campus Teams with Local Book Store to Fundraise
KU Clearwater campus students, faculty and staff recently combined forces with Barnes and Noble to innovatively fundraise.
Featuring special guest readings by Creative Writing class students, English faculty members, and others, the literary event began with poetry and prose readings by Octavius Cooper, Mitchell Landis, and Sarah Dreslin, and was followed by a special encore oration by English faculty member John Davis Jr., the author of four poetry collections.
The evening concluded with book and gift purchases. Librarian Nancy Evans looks forward to supplementing the campus’ library inventory with proceeds.
