KU’s College of Golf Crowns Match Play Champs

Keiser University’s College of Golf congratulates 2019 Fall Match Play Championship winners Ezra Joyner and Michael Samartino.

Thirty-seven students participated in the event, which helped students prepare for the PGA of America Player’s Ability Test, and to learn more about match play format, the rules of golf and the conditions of competition. Professor Frank Longabucco’s Tournament Management Class organized and conducted the tournament, and more events are planned to benefit Cystic Fibrosis.

The Gross Champion, Joyner defeated Nick Chabot by a score of 4 and 3. The Net Champion, Samartino defeated Ivan Martinez one up after 20 holes.
