Chancellors blog: Tour of the newest KU campus in Naples
I recently had the pleasure of spending a day at our newest campus in Naples. Last year, we added the master’s and doctoral degrees in Nurse Anesthesia with a transfer of degree programs from Wolford College, making this the Naples site our 21st Keiser University campus in Florida.
While there, Campus President Lynda Waterhouse and I gave a quick tour of the campus to my friend Al Sullivan, founder and chancellor of Sullivan University in Louisville. We checked out the simulated operating suites, the control room, observation deck and debriefing area, and well as the classrooms and offices in the facility.
Next week on Feb. 19, the first graduating class of this new Keiser campus will cross the stage and receive their degrees. Nurse anesthetists are in demand because of the extensive training and heavy responsibility that comes with that career. These advanced degree programs further supplement the educational goals of our career-focused students and are part of Keiser’s continued commitment to address the workforce shortages in Florida’s targeted industries such as health care.
We look forward to partnering with this community to identify and fulfill unmet educational needs and to offering our congratulations to our first graduating class later this month.
