Golf Science and Technology Club Members Gain Hands-On Opportunities at KU’s College of Golf

Keiser University College of Golf Science and Technology Club members are thankful to gain hands-on learning opportunities. Led by Professor John Callahan, members practice with a variety of cutting-edge technologies including wireless ground force pressure devices, hand-path mapping systems, wearable 3D body tracking equipment, launch monitors, and more.

“The subtitle of the PGA Teaching Manual is ‘The Art and Science of Golf Instruction.’ For College of Golf students who wish to delve more deeply into the science component of the game, the Golf Science and Technology Club provides a great opportunity, as we study kinetics, the branch of dynamics where the explanation of movement is answered using classic Newtonian physics,” said Callahan.

The group meets at the indoor hitting bays on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM for approximately two hours. For more formation, please contact professor Callahan at [email protected]
