Keiser University Fort Myers Math Professor Honored as Veteran of the Day

Keiser University Fort Myers professor Joseph Kunicki, PhD, was recently honored by the Minnesota Twins as the Veteran of the Day at a spring training game at Century Link Sports Complex.

 

Kunicki was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 – 1971 as a certified aircraft electrician at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida. Following his enlistment, Kunicki joined the faculty at the United States Naval Academy Prep School in Newport, Rhode Island. He spent 15 years as a classroom instructor in mathematics for prospective midshipmen candidates.

 

Kunicki retired to Fort Myers in June 2016 and joined the mathematics faculty at Keiser University Fort Myers.  He serves a mentor for the many student veterans enrolled across diverse fields of study.
