Keiser University Orlando Campus Students Enjoy Intercollegiate Martial Arts Event
Under the leadership of professor Stefane Dias, Keiser University Orlando campus Exercise Science and Fitness Technology students and alumni recently enjoyed a field trip to attend an Intercollegiate Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu event designed to promote martial arts within Florida universities.
Professor Dias lead the dynamic warm-up and flexibility movements for the affair, which was organized by Brazilian Jiu-jitsu legend Carlson Gracie and Master Ricardo Libório, one of the most talented and respected students of the sport. Participants then enjoyed short demonstrations and lessons by multiple world champions Rodolfo Vieira, Ronaldo Jacaré, and Gezary Matuda followed by practice sessions.
A friendly tournament was held between participants, and Liborio then concluded the seminar portion of the event by distributing medals of honor to Dias and several athletes and coaches for their help with the development of martial arts.
