Keiser University Promotes Scholarship Opportunity, Accessibility

Keiser University is pleased to continue promoting scholarship opportunities and accessibility as it partners with the Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida (ICUF) and the Florida Independent College Fund (FICF) to award scholarships provided by ICUF, the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) and the United Parcel Service (UPS).

Keiser University’s Chancellor Dr. Arthur Keiser believes in making education accessible to students. “Our faculty and staff keep one thing in mind in everything they do, and that is to uphold a ‘students first’ philosophy. We do a tremendous job of educating our students and supporting their scholastic journeys.”

Cavalina Redorrio, a Keiser University Lakeland campus psychology major is one of this year’s CIC/UPS $3,000 scholarship recipients who was nominated by Greg Aghoian, Keiser University’s Lakeland campus Director of Student Accounts. “I find the study of the human mind interesting. It has even helped me understand my own mind. This scholarship will help me with my education and support the purchase of a much-needed laptop for school,” she said.

“For 30 students attending a Florida independent college or university, the UPS Scholarship provides valuable financial support,” said Dr. Ed Moore, president of the Independent Colleges & Universities of Florida (ICUF). Nationally, CIC, through the CIC/UPS Educational Endowment, has provided more than $1.6 million in student scholarships to make private colleges and universities more affordable and accessible to underserved students. This year, the FICF awarded $90,000 in CIC/UPS Scholarships to 30 low-income students at private institutions across Florida.
