Keiser University Tallahassee Campus Medical Assisting Students Enjoy Hands-On Learning Opportunities

Keiser University Tallahassee campus Medical Assisting students recently learned Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as part of their Clinical Procedures Course.

A requirement prior to participating in the externship program, the skill is one of many that students are able to practice at the campus’ weekly ‘Open Labs’ which offer hands-on instruction in the areas of drawing blood, checking vital signs, performing electrocardiograms, administering injections, and more.

According to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity’s labor market projections, the Medical Assistant is one of the ‘top 10 fastest growing occupations in Leon County’ with a projected growth of 25% by 2026.
