Keiser University’s Residence Hall Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Unveils Plan for $100 Million Campus Expansion

Keiser University Chancellor, Dr. Arthur Keiser, was recently pleased to announce the unveiling of the new Lakeside Residence Hall.  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held Wednesday, November 4th, 2020 at the University’s Flagship campus located at 2600 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.

Kicking-off a $100 million capital campaign to further transform the campus into an international destination, the new student living facility demonstrates the University’s continued commitment to students and is made possible by a $10 million donation from Sodexo North America.

“Our goal has always been serving students first, and this is another reinvestment in maximizing their full collegiate experience. We are excited about the official grand opening of the new residence hall and very appreciative of our partnership with Sodexo North America and their generous donation,” said Chancellor Arthur Keiser, Ph.D., Keiser University. “The facility creates ‘a home away from home’ enriching student life and providing the convenience and comradery of learning and living on campus.”

The ceremony was part of Keiser University’s Homecoming Week activities. Socially distanced activities in which students were wearing masks included tie-dye, trivia, yard pong, spike ball, virtual scavenger hunts, and more.

The four-story, 51,000-square foot facility is located alongside the University’s lake between its Student Life Center and Dalby Commons buildings and offers double room suites, collaborative spaces for student meetings, and a lounge, lobby, laundry, and study areas that can accommodate up to 208 residents. Occupants enjoy a short walk to other campus amenities which include an outdoor swimming pool, sand volleyball, and tennis courts, an indoor fitness center, a dining hall, bookstore, and Starbucks. “I am excited that the population of Keiser University’s Flagship campus continues to grow, as diversity is strengthened throughout the student body. The new facility will make residential life even more fulfilling as it offers additional spaces for student gatherings, study groups, and outdoor social events,” said Darius Charon a Keiser University Exercise Science major who also serves as a Resident Assistant.
