KU Lakeland Campus Students Deliver Nutritious Family Meals on a Budget

Keiser University Lakeland campus students were recently challenged to see if they could feed a family of four a nutritious meal for $10 or less.

Under the leadership of instructor Dr. Deborah Hix, the Dietetics and Nutrition coeds were divided into seven groups of 3-4 students who teamed to shop and prepare the meal, and then presented their dish while providing a breakdown of costs.

Thankfully, every group was able to work within the limitations they were provided, and most of the groups came in significantly under budget.
