‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’ Event Raises Awareness
Keiser University’s West Palm Beach campus recently hosted a “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event in support of Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Month.
Both male and female employees attempted to wear high heels throughout the mile walk, which served as a metaphor for appreciating women’s experiences, improving gender relationships and opening communication on how to decrease violence against women.
All proceeds benefited the YWCA Harmony House for women and children.
