Keiser University Fort Lauderdale Staff Brush Up on Self-Defense Skills
The Keiser University Fort Lauderdale campus recently brushed up on their self-defense tactics with the assistance of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. Detective Eric Perez visited campus to host a training seminar at KU Fort Lauderdale which was attended by faculty and staff.
Perez covered many areas of self-defense. Specifically, he discussed the four phases of an attack, the two types of attackers, and the Triangle of Victimization – how not to become a victim. He also covered simple techniques and strategies on how to break free from an attacker and what to do in a worst-case scenario.
Attendees asked a series of questions at the end of the presentation. Perez plans to return to host a training session for KU Fort Lauderdale students.
