Research Symposium Unveils Highlights of Academic Study
Keiser University learners of all ages recently enjoyed showcasing their findings and artistic endeavors as part of the institution’s system-wide Research and Creative Inquiry Week and 4th Annual Symposium.
Held at Keiser University’s West Palm Beach Flagship Campus under the direction of Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Jennifer Peluso, over 90 research posters and close to 50 photographs and multimedia projects were presented relating to a variety of disciplines and creative arts by students, faculty, and staff from several Keiser University campuses. With numerous areas of study explored, several participants were recognized for their insights. Among them were Flagship campus first-place student winners Melina Trinidad for the Photography Showcase, Audrey Chouraqui for the Multimedia Showcase, and Niklas K. Nyblom for his Undergraduate Poster. Dr. Fereshteh Ahmadabadi of the Flagship Campus was recognized as first place Faculty Mentor and Keiser University College of Chiropractic Medicine students Doran Kamman and Freddie Shtivelman received the first place award for their Graduate Poster.
Participants attended workshops and sessions including Life Skills as a Predictor of Preparedness for College, Building the Case for Spinal Manipulation, The Evolution of the Comic Book Character, Wicked Problems and Ethical Dilemmas in Behavioral Research, Grant Writing, and more. They also enjoyed induction into the PGA Hall of Fame and demonstrations by College of Golf faculty, as well as demonstrations by the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office Mounted Patrol and a Natural Horsemanship Clinic in coordination with faculty from the Criminal Justice program and the Equine Studies concentration at Keiser University.
