Dr. Arthur Keiser Shares Insights with Palm Beach Leadership Business Council Members
Palm Beach County business leaders recently heard about Keiser University’s rich history, dramatic growth, and student first mission during a speech delivered by Chancellor Arthur Keiser, Ph.D., at the Palm Beach Leadership Business Council’s monthly breakfast. Hosted at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Dr. Keiser served as the event’s keynote speaker and discussed challenges the come along with the development of successful businesses.
Dr. Keiser relayed how Keiser University began with just one student and two employees in 1977 and has since grown to become the largest private university in the state of Florida. He emphasized that the university’s success can be largely attributed to its student-first focus as the school and its leadership continue to embrace the value and importance of small classes and one-on-one attention.
With an ever-changing educational landscape, the university’s goal of preparing graduates to fill crucial positions within the workforce remains at the forefront of the university’s mission as it continually assesses industry needs and tailors its academic programs accordingly.
“We make a significant impact in Palm Beach County and we continue to serve this community,” said Dr. Keiser. “We constantly listen to businesses and industries to make sure our educational programs are relevant to their needs.”
Keiser University employs more than 350 full- and part-time employees in Palm Beach County. The university now serves nearly 20,000 students and employs 3,800 faculty and staff members at 21 Florida campuses, as well as online and at two international sites.
The Leadership Business Council was founded by business professionals with the aim of providing high-level speakers on timely topics for the business community at exclusive locations within Palm Beach County. Its goal is to enrich the lives of business professionals by presenting high caliber speakers on issues that are important to business leaders and professionals within the Palm Beach County community.
