Firing Range Lessons Provide Valuable Experience for KU Jacksonville Campus Students

Keiser University Jacksonville campus Crime Scene Technology and Forensic Investigations program students recently visited the Ancient City Firing Range in St. Augustine, Florida, under the leadership of professors Tom Brady and Lisa Santore.

Coordinated in partnership with the St. John’s County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Unit, the class was designed to familiarize students with safety tips and the operation of various firearms, as the skills are critical for successfully processing firearm related forensic events. Concluding the lesson, students had the opportunity to test and evaluate various handguns and rifles, a valuable lesson as they learn to properly study and analyze crime-related physical evidence.
