Keiser University New Port Richey is partnering with Pasco County Libraries to offer free information sessions to the community.

University instructors will host monthly educational programs at the Centennial Park Library covering a wide range of topics, including stress relief, career development, and computer usage.

Each session is free and open to the public.

Jessica Swanson, Keiser University New Port Richey Librarian, says this partnership allows the university to continue its commitment to the New Port Richey community while offering important educational opportunities.

“Community programs like these are especially important because they are necessary to build a lasting relationship with New Port Richey- and Pasco County- that extends beyond the campus setting,” Swanson said. “Our Partnership with Pasco County Libraries is essential for doing our best to offer opportunities for professional and educational growth that may not otherwise be available.”

The first program was held in September, with two more scheduled for October and November. Keiser University and Pasco County Libraries plan to continue organizing new programs each month. The university is also working on extending programs to more branches, as well as hosting library staff for sessions on campus.

Amaris Papadopoulos, Pasco County Libraries Public Communications Specialist, says partnerships like this one help better serve the people in Pasco County.

“Community partnerships are invaluable to us,” Papadopoulos said. “We are honored to have Keiser University professors lead these upcoming sessions and share their insightful knowledge with the public.”

The next session will be held on Monday October 17 recognizing World Mental Health Day. Doctor Jaimie Donnelly will discuss stress relief and mindfulness.

On November 14, Dr. Steven Guy and Dr. William Harris will share tips on career assessment and evaluation.

The programs are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in attending or learning more can contact Keiser University New Port Richey or their local library branch.
