Keiser University student Alexis Zapalski was recently highlighted by Sidelines Magazine. An active equestrian residing in Wellington, Florida, she first began riding as a child with her mother and would like to eventually run a horse training and sales program on a farm of her own.

Now preparing for her future goals by working toward her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration (BABA) with a concentration in Equine Studies, she is also a member of Keiser’s Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team.  “Alexis has been actively involved with both our Equine academic program and our equestrian team since her first moment as a Keiser University student.  She brings a wealth of knowledge as well as a true passion and understanding for the demands of the equine field.  There is no doubt in my mind that this equestrian has what it takes to be successful in her career,” said Equine Program Director Julie Snyder.

Keiser University’s BABA with a focus on Equine Studies focuses on the functional areas of business, communication skills, ethical business practices, and technology skills needed in today’s global business environment. Students in the Equine Studies concentration will be prepared to start a career in event management, barn management, tack shop management, equine training, operating and managing their own showing and boarding facility, employment in the Thoroughbred racing industry, and many more.
