KU E-Sports Team Members Learn Basics from College of Golf Students

Keiser University E-Sports team members and College of Golf students recently gained hands-on learning opportunities through collaboration.

For four consecutive weeks, Professor John Callahan’s Advanced Golf Instruction class members were thankful to gain experience by instructing E-Sports team members. “Hands-on teaching experience is the most beneficial ingredient of our instruction curriculum, and we are grateful for Coach Ross and his team who have provided us with the opportunity,” said Callahan.

The lessons took place at the Flagship campus’ short game area and driving range and covered the skills of putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing. They culminated with a fun challenge that required the E-Sports team members to hit a target sixty-five yards away and thirty feet off the ground. Student Carlos Rios took home the prize.

College of Golf student teachers hope the experience will encourage Carlos and all of the participating E-sports team members to embrace golf and make it a lifelong hobby.
