KU Orlando Students Learn How to Assess and Train Athletes

Keiser University Orlando campus Exercise Science and Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology program students recently welcomed Diego Lacerda, a Sports Performance Specialist and Strength and Conditioning Coach who demonstrated how to use the Elite Jump System and Push Band to assess power and velocity.  The group enjoyed the opportunity to test the technology and were instructed how the assessments can be used when training athletes.

Lacerda received his MSc degree in Strength and Conditioning from Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport, Youth, and Tourism. He now works with mixed martial artists, soccer players, surfers, and basketball players. A global traveler, he continually participates in research and writing in the field of elite physical development.
