KU Sarasota Campus ‘Room of Doom’ Learning Scenario Provides Lasting Lessons

Sarasota Room of Doom - A - 11-18 Sarasota Room of Doom - B - 11-18 Sarasota Room of Doom - C - 11-18

A favorite among Keiser University Sarasota campus Nursing program students is their Fundamentals of Nursing class ‘Room of Doom’ learning scenario.

The assignment comes complete with a critical thinking scavenger hunt, ‘Farm’ games which include pharmacology and dosage calculation lessons, and a graded vocabulary quiz. Learners create team t-shirts and work in groups of six to identify and solve real-life patient safety issues including medical record errors, post-operative complications, general safety hazards, and more.
