KU Students Receive Scholarships, Recognition at Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Gala

Five Keiser University students were recently awarded scholarships and recognized for their exceptional GPA’s and academic achievements at the All Florida Academic Team Award Ceremony held at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Hosted for students who earn a slot on the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society and the Florida College System Academic Team, the event welcomed winners from two Keiser University campuses who were accompanied by university faculty and staff members. Winners included Amber Leverett, Susan Sylvester and Kisha Whitehurst of the Jacksonville campus and Raul Marquez of the Miami campus and Lauren Pate of the Orlando campus.

PTK is an honor society that recognizes the academic achievements of community and state college students and helps them to grow as scholars and leaders. The society is made up of over 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in nine nations.
