Seahawk Softball Team Members Roll-Up Sleeves for Volunteer Construction Effort

Charlotte County Florida’s Habitat for Humanity organization recently welcomed Keiser University Seahawk Softball players to assist with the construction of an affordable home for a deserving family.

“Our recent participation in the Compassion Games has inspired all of us to remain involved with community volunteer efforts, so when our team member Lena Wallace shared details of the opportunity to spend a day with the Habitat for Humanity group we didn’t want to miss it,” said Coach Terri Knecht. “I’m very proud of our team, as they worked hard and it was inspiring to see the structure take shape. As our student-athletes work hard to prepare for their first game in the spring, they also remain committed to helping community friends and neighbors.”

Since 1987 Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte County has helped over 478 Charlotte County families achieve the dream of home ownership.
