WPB Students Donate T-Shirts for Traumatic Injury Patients
West Palm Beach Campus National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA) donated t-shirts to help patients involved in traumatic injuries at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
When some is hurt badly such as in falls, motor vehicle accidents, or with gunshot wounds, healthcare professionals often need to cut-off the clothing from patients and discard it in order to provide treatment quickly, efficiently, and without instilling further injuries. Consequently, some patients do not have any clothing or clean clothing when being discharged.
NSNA students and faculty at the West Palm Beach campus collected 40 t-shirts in sizes ranging from small to 2X-large to assist in contributing to the needs of their community.
