Fort Lauderdale Campus Veterans Day Event Salutes Those Who Have Served
Keiser University’s Fort Lauderdale campus recently hosted a Veterans Day program to honor and thank those who have served.
After an opening with the National Anthem sung by Brittany Muirhead a Keiser University nursing student and winner of the Keiser’s Got Talent competition, guests enjoyed hearing from Justin Stuckart, Chair of the Mission United Board of Broward County as he relayed his experiences serving in the United States Army while also highlighting community involvement ideas. The United States Lauderhill Army Recruiting Center Color Guard was then honored and thanked for their service to the community and to Keiser University.
Violet Lowrey, Director of Student Services and President of the Student Veterans of America club then invited all veterans to be recognized by campus President Rhonda Fuller and Dean of Academics Jannette Porta-Avalos, as each were presented an American Flag.
