Keiser University West Palm Beach Campus President Delivers Degrees to Two Daughters
Keiser University West Palm Beach campus President Kimberly Lea recently delivered degrees to daughters Kathryn Lea (Kati), 22 and Elizabeth (Ellie), 21 at the university’s commencement ceremony held at Keiser’s Flagship campus.
“Thirty years go by in a blink,” said Lea. “Almost to the day, thirty years ago I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree, and today I am crazily blessed to work at Keiser University where my own daughters, who are the best of friends, will graduate together. I have this awesome blessing to be able to give them their degrees. My work family and my biological family will be together in one moment that brings a wild amount of joy to me,” shared Lea, of the milestone in which both Kati and Ellie earned their Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Keiser University welcomed Senator Lori Berman to deliver the commencement address. Now serving on the Senate Minority as the Democratic Whip for the 2018-2020 term, Berman is also the Vice Chair of the Health Policy Committee and sits on the Education Committee, the Environment and Natural Resources Committee as well as the Appropriations Committee on Agriculture, Environment and General Government.
Over 100 graduates walked in the ceremony. Salutatorian Jennifer Torres was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with an 3.97 average. Valedictorian Shari-Nischa Zuiverloon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a 3.98.
