KU Equestrian Program Hosts First Advisory Board Meeting
The inaugural meeting of the Keiser University Equine Studies program Advisory Board was recently hosted at the Wall Street Farm equestrian facility. “There was no shortage of enthusiasm, good food, beautiful equestrian views, and great feedback,” said Julie Snyder, Equestrian Program Director. “The end result of the meeting was greater familiarity with the unique program including its educational curriculum and riding club, as well as networking, student sponsorship opportunities, and grass roots promotion. All in all, it was a blue ribbon day performance,” she said.
The Keiser University Flagship campus’ Equine Studies concentration offers students the well-rounded educational opportunity necessary to be successful in the industry, while preparing learners for admission to graduate programs in Veterinarian Medicine. Along with the necessary pre-vet curriculum, the Equine Studies concentration offers students the opportunity to develop hands-on experience in the areas of equine nutrition, health and disease monitoring, equine facility management, handling and training horses, the genetic composition of horses, and more.
