Daytona Beach Campus Students Employ Treatment Techniques for Individuals with Disabilities

As part of their Treatment Techniques course led by Program Director Natalie Chang-Mason, Keiser University Daytona Beach campus Occupational Therapy Assistant program students recently studied and simulated a variety of treatment techniques for individuals with physical disabilities.

The lessons included using a 9-hole peg test to conduct an upper extremity assessment, applying and/or fabricating orthotics for varying upper extremity injuries, applying ice massage as an appropriate physical agent modality, providing environmental adaptations to clients with visual impairments, and more.
