Led by instructors Lisa Menzel and Laura Nash the introductory class students were thankful to gain valuable skills required to aid both adults and children in crisis. Based in Lakeland Florida, Central Florida Health and Safety is an approved American Heart Association training company that prides itself on making training easy and enjoyable. Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography presents an integration of didactic, laboratory and clinical experiences. The program prepares students to function as entry-level diagnostic medical sonographers. Sonographers are highly skilled professionals qualified to provide patient services using diagnostic techniques under the supervision of a licensed doctor of medicine or osteopathy and assist physicians in gathering data necessary to reach diagnostic decisions. In addition, Keiser University’s Radiologic Technology program prepares students for entry-level positions in the profession, producing radiographic images in accordance with standardized practices and procedures. The program provides radiologic information including medical terminology, patient care, radiographic procedures, radiation protection, equipment operations and image production and evaluation.
