High School Criminal Justice Academy Graduates are Recognized at Keiser University’s Port St. Lucie Campus
Keiser University’s Port St. Lucie campus recently hosted a luncheon to recognize local high school seniors who had completed the Criminal Justice Academy.
Organized by the St. Lucie Public School’s Career and Technical Education Department, the 4th annual event at Keiser University recognized graduating seniors for earning industry certifications, completing three Criminal Justice courses, and participating in Career and Technical Student Organizations.
The student group represented several high schools and was appreciative of the support of their school district, Keiser University, and several community leaders. “We are thankful that these students have completed the Criminal Justice Academy at their high school and are now ready to take the next step towards a career in law enforcement, and we are proud of them for committing to such an important career,” said Keiser University Director of Strategic Alliance Linda Fitzpatrick.
Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice presents the major components of the American criminal justice system. It includes criminal behavior patterns, law enforcement organizations, juvenile systems, legal principles and doctrines, and fundamentals of criminal investigations. Courses utilize hands-on activities.
